This is the sand spit where I walk at low, low tide!
It is full moon today, so yesterday was an extreme -2.3 tide. The tide pools are filled with clam and mussel shells and hundreds of baby crabs scuttling around. The herons and gulls were out in full force too. My neighbor takes kids out here and calls it Treasure Island as when the tide is in, the spit disappears.
I am trying to adjust to my new circumstances and one thing I am doing is walking more - when the weather is good. Today, August 2 I have the heat on as it is only about 60F outside. Mid-summer!
